In Safely, open Companies and click Add company. Each company has one role: manufacturer, EU responsible person or importer. For manufacturers, say whether they are based in the EU.
Open Products, select one or more products and choose their companies. On the Essentials plan, Vendor rules assign companies to every product from a vendor, including new ones.
Open Help and click Open theme editor. The Safely embed is switched on for you. Click Save.
From Help, click Add Product safety block, place it on your product page and click Save. The Overview shows what is left to set up.
The manufacturer, EU responsible person and importer of each product, with their contact details, plus links to a user manual and declaration of conformity that you host. Labels are translated into the 24 official EU languages.
No. Safely shows the information you enter and checks what your store displays. It does not decide what your products need.
No. Safely uses a theme app extension: an app embed and blocks you place in the theme editor. Removing them leaves your theme as it was.
No. Products that show the company are updated automatically. If an update is still pending, Overview shows Publish now.
The block stops showing. Shopify asks Safely to delete your data 48 hours later, and Safely deletes everything it stored for your store.
